Apr 16th, 2007 by admin in Free Wordpress Theme -
We are releasing another free wordpress theme: SeaCliff. This is a very sleek 2-column blue wordpress template loaded with a lot of build in features and options:
Options that this theme supports:
- Configurable style - Lets you configure the style of the posts, sidebar blocks, and
navigational links - Configurable Navigation - Lets you configure which pages are included in the navigation bar and lets you order them alphabetically or by page order.
Plugins this theme supports: (These are not required for the theme to work):
- JS Toggle Boxes - this allows users to collapse the sidebar blocks.

I like your theme; nice work! I’ve been playing around with it and have a quick question…
I have tried EVERYTHING to strip out the date/time/by author stamp under the post/page title. I can’t find it anywhere… is this hard coded into the system? I’ve stripped it out of single, page, index, and showposts.php. Can’t find anywhere else it may be, yet it still shows up.
It’s driving me crazy!
Any thoughts?
Thank you sir…
Is there any chanche of having the .po file, so we can localise this beautiful theme?
Thanx
Everything says this theme is widget friendly… how do I set up widgets?
Chris,
To remove the date/time and by author line you will need to edit the /admin/style.php file and remove it from the blogthemes_style_post() method. I had to add this method to dynamically expand the title graphic for longer titles.

Thank you for designing this theme - I love it. I’ve made several style changes and have run into a problem I just can’t resolve. I’ve almost broken into my husband’s beer, I feel so frustrated - and I don’t drink beer.
Something is wrong with the sideblock within the sidebar. It is not the same width as the sidebar (it’s skinnier) and therefore everything within it (links, etc.) is appearing centered. I’ve poured over the style sheet many times and there is just nothing that I can see that is causing this - and in fact, in my tweaking I didn’t make any changes to that sideblock.
I really hope you can tell me why this is happening and how to fix it. If you can’t, the only thing I can do is remove the theme, re-”install” it and make my design changes all over again. And they took sooooo long.
BTW, I can “see” the sideblock in relation to the sidebar using the Firebug add-on in Firefox.
Thank you so much for any help you can give!
Kathie,
I would need more information to know what is wrong. Send me the files that you changed at charlesk (at) blog-themes.xynfo.com and I will take a quick look and see if I can fix the problem.

I’m having some trouble with the Links block on the side bar. The header shows up, but no links are shown. This happens with our without widgets enabled. When the Links block is there, nothing shows underneath (such as other widgets that I’ve positioned under Links.) Could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks, Doug
I like this theme - thank you! However there is an issue with the Text block widget. If one creates several text block widgets and fills them with different text (as one would) the result on the site is merely repetitions of the first text block.
Fixed text widget issue by deleting para in (builtin/widgets.php) :
// We need to register our text widgets
$options = get_option(’widget_text’);
$text_number = $options[’number’];
if ( $text_number 9 ) $text_number = 9;
for ($i = 1; $i
Hi!
I was playing with the styles.php in /admin & I’d like to request a modification.
When I create a Page, I don’t want the page-info to be displayed. The way I would do this is to post to a category ‘Hidden’ .
Then if category Hidden then it posts the page-info else it hides it.
This way all Pages categorized as “Hidden” will have no post-info.
2 Problems:
- I don’t know the php to do this.
- I can edit/delete/rename the file on my ftp server because it says I don’t have permission … and I’m logged in as administrator … why?
Thanks!
- Marcel
I would like to display the date/time/category information for normal posts but NOT display them for Pages (like ‘About’ or ‘Contact us’).
Is there any way to do this?
Yes, there is!
Edit style.php & change this line ->
by in
to this ->
